The mandate of the Central Committee is to uniformly develop local and state franchises that will be able to function nationally as a cohesive political party. This uniform development is accomplished by the design and implementation of national standards that can be adhered to by local grassroot efforts without infringing upon local autonomy to deal effectively with local and regional issues.
The Central Committee functions as a project management team, providing guidance and oversight to local political franchises. Groups and individuals who are interested in developing a local Socialist Party chapter in their community should contact the Central Committee for additional information.
